Actually, "tourmalinated" would be the correct term, as this beautiful example is dense with strong black tourmaline fibers, artistically displayed in the frosty quartz. The pear shape is well hollowed out, the bottom is very slightly concave, and there is a lobed turquoise stopper to dress it all up. Small rough spot near lip and bottom of the ivory(?) spoon is missing. A superb example, likely with some age on it.
