The nephrite jade uniformly light grey and carved as a strange snarling Mythical Beast sitting on his haunches; teeth, tongue, and fangs delineated; notched mane, curled wings, and trifurcated tail.  A second Mythical Beast is at chest level, sharing the same haunches, its tongue protruding in the Warring States manner.  Earth encrusted.  From a prestigious Maryland collection.
