The Goddess of Mercy seated holding a Vase (symbol of her merciful protection), Child acolyte to her left holding a large Peach (Longevity), Phoenix to her right with Gourd and other Peaches (Longevity) and Lotus (Harmony), a Mandorla behind, the Burmese jadeite light green with bright apple green area prominent and russet accents, old time polish.  Reverse similarly well-carved.  Beautiful material and rich with symbolism.  Fitted, reticulated wood stand.  Early 20th C. work, from a distinguished Palm Beach estate.
