The massive seal in archaic form with large striated loop handle, sides with L-scrolls in low relief within borders, the bottom carved in yang-style raised relief with a large archaic "bird form script" seal character and three birds, the nephrite celadon-tan, heavily pitted.  The character translates as "bird."  Seals of this type are rare, especially in so large a size (well over a pound of jade!).
